    Prepare and inform the requirements based on the need of the college and the chairman/Principal to initiate action.

    Based on the request, fixes bus routes, and stages for staff and students, allocate vehicles and drivers on the routes in consultation with the Principal.

    Develop documents for bus strength, routes, and the allocation of buses and drivers at least once a semester to meet future needs.

    Monitor the time of starting of the buses from the originating points so as to ensure their arrival at college on time.

    Processes leave applications of drivers, recommend sanction, while deploying substitute (spare) drivers, and ensure all vehicles run as per schedule.

    Operates limited buses on semester-end examination days and during vacations as per actual requirement, making changes in the routes, if found necessary.

    Monitor the driver’s attendance and substitute process and assigns extra/overtime duties to drivers following appropriate procedures.

    Monitor and in charge of wage calculation for drivers if needed and Diesel/ Petrol bills, Vehicle repair, maintenance bills, and bills for private vehicle hiring charges for payment.

    Responsible for bus trouble-shooting or in case of vehicle breakdown, arranging relief/ spare vehicles.

    Prepares proper record of bus-related maintenance documents and bills and submit the same to the accounts office as and when the need arises.

    Responsible for regular maintenance of the vehicles and following up on the same.

    Managing transport-related complaints from students, parents of students, staff, and drivers and resolving issues with the help and guidance of the bus coordinator/Principal/Administrative officer.

    Responsible for automobile stocks and the current inventory of vehicles

    Responsible for follow-up of RTA regulations, and college procedures, pertaining to registration, fitness inspection, insurance, and use of college vehicles.

    Arranges periodical medical tests for drivers and ensure their fitness for driving.

    Intimate the bus fees and balance to the coordinator frequently to ask them to remit at the given time.

    Frequent bus pass checking is to be done with the help of staff members.

    Assist and attends to any other duties assigned from time to time.
