BASICS OF ELECTRICAL ENGG Lab

Basic of Electrical engineering Lab is an engineering lab that deals with the study and application of electricity, and electromagnetism. Students learn the characteristics of the most basic and common components used in Electrical Engineering (i.e. resistors, capacitors, inductors, power supplies, voltmeters and ammeters) and can verify Theorems on DC Circuit Analysis like Kirchhoff’s Voltage Law and Kirchhoff’s Current Law, Thevenin’s Theorem, Norton’s Theorem, Maximum power transfer Theorem.

Student Can Also Verify The Phenomenon Of Resonance Phenomenon In Both Series And Parallel Circuits And Students Can Also Practically Learn Measurement Of Power In 3 – Phase Load By Two Wattmeter Method. The Students Can Conduct The Direct Load Test, Open Circuit Test And Short Circuit Test On Transformers. Students Can Also Check Speed Control Of DC Motor By Various Methods. Basic Knowledge Of Various Types Of Electrical Fuses, MCB And MCCB And types of wires.

Digital Electronics lab

The purpose of the experiments conducted in this lab is to acquaint the student with Digital devices, Design of circuits,Instruments & procedures for electronic test & measurement and teaching practical skills that the student can use in the course of his or her own experimental research projects in digital electronics.

The lab is well equipped with digital lab trainer kits for Basic logic gates IC’s , multiplexer and demultiplexer IC’s, Scientech Flip flop and shift register digital kits, Function Generators and CRO’S. Students learn to design and build simple circuits of his or her own design, use electronic test & measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes, timers, function generators, etc. in experimental research and to differentiate between combinational and sequential logic circuits.

MPI LAB

The lab is well equipped with 8085 and 8086 microprocessor trainer kits along with interfacing modules to demonstrate the detailed applications of microprocessors. The purpose of this laboratory is to train the students to be familiar with the software and hardware of microprocessors so that they can gain enough experiences to meet the demand of the microprocessor era. Specifications based on 8085 is CPU operating at 6.144 mhz. crystal with 8k bytes of EPROM loaded with powerful monitor program and 8k bytes of RAM available to the user. Total on board memory expansion up to 64k bytes using 2732/2764/27128/6264/ 62256 with 1 socket of 28 Pin. Battery backup for RAM with 3.6v rechargeable cell. Keyboard mode facility for downloading/uploading files from/to pc enclosed in an attractive abs plastic cabinet with cover in-built power supply user’s manual.

MC & ESD Lab

Microcontroller and Embedded System Design Lab deals to develop dedicated systems based on both hardware and software.MC & ESD Lab is equipped with Keil µ vision (Free Version), Flash Magic, 8051 Application Boards, Stepper and DC motors and computer systems. Students learn to program the microcontrollers and interface various peripherals with microcontrollers.

Analog Electronics Lab

The area of analog electronics circuit design is one of the vast and complex areas in VLSI circuit designing. Analog Electronics Lab is well equipped with Digital Signal Oscilloscopes (DSO’s), Multimeters, Analog Trainer kits and discrete components (active & passive). Students learn to design and implement the analog electronics circuit for given specifications.


Civil - Laboratories

Soil Mechanics and Geotechnology Lab

In soil mechanics and Geotechnology lab students gain hands-on experience in conducting soil laboratory tests to determine soil parameters needed for soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering design. Further the laboratory involves determination of moisture content, density, plastic limit, liquid limit, shrinkage limit, bearing capacity, grain size distribution and specific gravity of soil. The laboratory also has the facility to study the physical properties of soil. Facilities are available for determination of shear strength, water content, specific gravity of the soil by using direct shear test, pycnometer and core cutter method.

Surveying Lab

Surveying lab includes essential measurements to determine the relative position of points or physical and cultural details above, on, or beneath the surface of the Earth, and to depict them in a usable form, or to establish the position of points or details. This lab also includes the application of Chain, Compass, Plane Table, Theodolite, Auto level, Dumpy level and Total Station.

Computer Aided Drawing Lab

This lab uses advanced civil engineering softwares for making the students industry ready. At CAD lab, students get hands on training in 2D and 3D drafting of civil engineering drawings using the latest version of AutoCAD software. Students learn computer aided layout design and 3D solid modeling in confirmation with the related codes.

Fluid Mechanics Lab

The objective of this laboratory is to determine the various parameters related to fluid flow in pipes and in open channels. At present it is equipped with hydraulic benches and stand-alone equipment to carry out various experiments.

Production Technology Lab & AMT Lab

TMilling machine, surface grinder, CNC lathes Trainer, TIG/MIG welding set, Lathe machines, Shaper Machine, drilling machines. Electric discharge machine. Arc Welding.

Heat Transfer Lab

Computer Science - Laboratories

Programming lab

The major role of this lab is to provide the high-quality fundamental knowledge of the programming language like C++ & JAVA language. The university concludes the Object oriented subject curriculum to afford the basic knowledge of computers in the initial course module for every trade. This lab contains volumes of latest and updated software for ‘C++ & JAVA’ language programming.

Database lab

This lab is being designed with aim of exploring the basic concepts of the database management system (DBMS) which is used for managing data. This lab contains Oracle, SQL server and HSQDB database application. All students are capable to apply SQL command on these databases. This lab is being designed with aim of exploring the basic concepts of the simulation of the different aspects of the computer science.

Web Technology lab

Web Technology which helps the students to be familiar with the web of globalization. This lab work with various tools/languages to achieve this functionality such as – HTML, XHTML & CSS & JAVAScript. This lab is being designed with aim of exploring the basic concepts.

Server-Side Programming Lab

This course provides a solid foundation for the concepts of server-side programming, using a current server-side programming/scripting language. Provide comprehensive coverage of a server-side scripting language, sessions, security, and considerations related to implementing efficient and maintainable server-side applications. Develop the ability to securely incorporate databases into real-world web applications. Students will learn to program in one current server side scripting language. Students will have the skills to develop a secure, real-world server side application which interacts with a database.

LINUX Lab

To familiarize students with the Linux environment and basic linux administration. It provides fundamentals of shell scripting/programming. After completion of the course students will be able to work confidently in Unix/Linux environment, write shell scripts to automate various tasks and master the basics of linux administration.

Graphics & Multimedia Lab

The Main objective of Computer Graphics Lab is to make aware different drawing and animation tools to draw and produce effects in the objects. Students generally implement the CG program by using C/C++ Programing language. To understand the basics of Multimedia technology and representation of audio, video and images in the computer. To have deep knowledge of Multimedia file systems and Information models. To learn about Multimedia communication system and animation.

Data Structure Lab

The objective of this lab is to teach students various data structures and to explain them algorithms for performing various operations on these data structures. This lab complements the data structures course. Students will gain practical knowledge by writing and executing programs in C using various data structures such as arrays, linked lists, stacks, queues, trees, graphs, hash tables and search trees.

Hardware Lab

This lab is being designed with aim of exploring the operation of a personal computer, its organization, common terminology, and hands-on experience with real computers. It will build a base of knowledge that will provide the students with a solid foundation for using the personal computer. The basic aim of this lab is to familiar the students with operating systems installation and organization, and basic hardware troubleshooting, upgrades, and the essential concepts of networking.The objective of this lab is to provide students with hands-on experience in Hardware’s, Software’s and Operating systems. This Lab is used for PC Assembly/Disassembly and HW/SW troubleshooting. It provides the knowledge about how to configure computer peripherals.
